Essentially Revival beds offer a choice of two distinct mattress types – A Memory Foam mattress and a Pocket Sprung mattress, a third type of mattress, the Memory Med combines the benefits of each.

What is Memory foam?

Originally developed by NASA for use in moon shots Memory foam or as the scientists prefer to call it visco elastic polymer was sspecifically created to reduce the risk of skin, and nerve damage caused by prolonged sitting, reclining or laying down. Memory foam assists in distributing pressure and reducing pressure points – two of the main contributing factors leading to tissue breakdown.

What’s a Pocket Sprung mattress?

These are the more conventional type of mattress that is made up from a spring core of individually pocketed springs. The advantage of this type of mattress is that it can be specifically tensioned to provide a different feel i.e. firm, medium or soft. This type of mattress has now been combined with a memory foam filing to give what many people think is the perfect combination in mattress technology
